USB3.0接続のGbEインタフェースUSB-LAN1000Rをテスト。

PLANEX USB-LAN1000R

本体内にWindowsドライバを内蔵していてダウンロード不要なだけでなく、

CDC-ECMをサポートしているのでLinuxにも対応しています。
RaspberryPiなどでも本製品をUSBポートに挿すだけで、すぐにご使用いただけます。

と、正式にLinuxやRaspberryPiへの対応まで謳う貴重な逸品。

ちなみにCDCは"communications device class"、ECMは"Ethernet Control Model"との事。

6月に"Pentium Anniversary Edition"で組んだASRock H97 Pro4の背面USBポートに接続すると、あっさり認識。

なお、OSはUbuntu 16.04 (Xenial Xerus)をセットアップしたあと、QSV環境を構築する為に安定のUbuntu 14.04 (Trusty Tahr)に戻しているのだが、iperfの転送速度も600Mbps以上で、e1000eの700Mbpsには及ばないまでも、期待通り。
